Last year at this time I was in some of the best shape of my life. I had spent the 4 months prior to last October training for my very first marathon. I was tired last October but I was so excited and prepared for the marathon. The whole training process seems like a blur now because so much has changed but I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. Because of some circumstances, I won't be running this years marathon and I am far from the best shape of my life. But, that's ok because life happens and I always go through spells with running. I've always been a runner but some seasons in my life allow me to be a serious runner while others allow me to just run. Both are ok with me. My marathon last year inspired my best friend, Kim to run her first marathon. Kim is beyond an AWESOME friend and has really embraced this new running life. She's a little burnt out but hey, we all get there when training so much..your life stops for running..it's hard. So give her a little encouragement on her blog. Kim will be running the Baltimore Marathon on October 16th and I KNOW she is going to rock it. Kim has also decided to tweet for GYROde.
