Sorry I was a little late on this post- I promise to be more prompt. Trying to figure out how to update from my phone.. STEEVE HELPP ;)
Anyway, ran 13 miles on Saturday by myself in 2:03. About a 9:46 min pace which I felt really good about. I am trying to get in the habit of eating a little something and stopping so that during the marathon my body doesn't go into 'shock' about food entering the stomach and the restarting...I stop at 3 miles : stretched, stopped at 8 miles: drank some water ate some , stopped at 11 and drank some water and stretched and again at 12.5 and stretched and a little more water to make it to the finish! I felt really good and my body knew exactly what it needed to do, digest and start running again :)
I am getting really excited and also feeling good about my progress!
