A Need for motivation..

Well, I thought I would be able to get back into the swing of things after the marathon but instead, I just keep putting it off and stuffing my face and gaining weight. I really am unhappy with how I worked so hard and now I just seem to be putting on my 'winter coat'.

This weekend my 2 best friends from Delaware, Julie and Kim came for a visit with Julie's boyfriend Bobby. We hiked up McAfee's Knob on the Appalachian Trail and my legs were soo sore just .25 miles into it. I have done this hike before but for some reason my ankles and legs were just heavy and I was out of breath really quick.

Taking in God’s beauty

How cool that we get to live surrounded by all this beauty? We missed the peak of Fall by just a few weeks.

I am still pretty sore from the hike on Saturday but managed to walk with a friend at the mall last night. It was only about 30 minutes but my legs, knees, ankles were all were sore and it was just discouraging.

I’m hoping this is just a mental set back. I still haven’t tried Jeff’s workouts because when you leave and come home from work in the dark you really don’t want to be sweating it out at the gym, but my mirror says otherwise.

Here’s to finding some motivation this week…

These are great pictures!! Don't be to hard on yourself -- you ran a MARATHON. Everyone needs a little season of rest or else you get burned out. And it's not like you haven't had a ton of things going on either -- you stay busy, girl!

I'm also a little embarassed from my soreness -- I've been really sore from just running 2 miles the past few days. :)

Good luck, girl! I feel for you! (You don't know weight gain until you have a baby!) The holidays are always hard for trying to keep the weight off, but don't give up! I am rooting for you!
